Study permit:

Study permit is generally issued to foreign nationals wishing to pursue studies in Canada from Designated Leaning Institutions (DLI).

You may also need a visitor visa or an electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). If we approve your study permit, IRCC will issue one to you with your study permit.

Work Permit:

Foreign Nationals wishing to work in Canada must have work permit. There are two kinds of work permit;

-Employer specific work permit

-Open work permit

Employer specific work permit restricts the person to work for a defined employee only and may also require Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from the employer. 

Open work permit let’s the person to work for any employee in Canada. However, certain restrictions apply.
