
How to Apply for a Canadian Business Immigration
To bolster the economy of Canada, the Canadian government encourages entrepreneurs to come to Canada and start a business. It is called start-up Visa program.
Eligibility Criteria:
- One must have a letter of support from a designated angel investor group or venture capital fund or business incubator.
- Minimum financial commitment of $200000 from venture capital fund or $75000 from angel investor
- Language requirement of CLB 5 plus in English or French
- Proof of sufficient settle funds
- Up to 5 applicants for 1 business are allowed subject to each holding at least 10% voting rights.
- Jointly with the designated organization hold more than 50% voting rights.
- Must be admissible on medical and security grounds.
- The above program is not valid for the province of Quebec.
